Justin’s First Solid Diaper

Saturday, while bent over the tub giving Kayla a much needed bath, I hear Justin yelling from Colton’s room, “VALERIE!!!” I yell back at him, “What?!” “Get in here now!” I pull the curtain shut and leave Kayla dripping in shampoo to go see what the commotion was all about. I find Colton lying on the changing table with Justin standing beside him gagging for air. I immediately burst out laughing. As most seasoned mothers know, a baby’s bowel movements completely change when they start eating solid foods. He could not handle it! I asked him what he would have done if he had been alone with him – “I would have used the garden hose.” He was only joking (I hope) so there is no need to have child protective services on stand-by.
